PARLIAMENT OF MALAYSIA, 16 January – Hon. Senator Datuk John Ambrose and Hon. Senator Datuk Teo Eng Tee @ Teo Kok Chee sworn in as Senator for the first term before H.E. Tan Sri Dato’ Sri SA. Vigneswaran, President of the Senate and witnessed by Hon. Senator Datuk Seri Haji Abdul Halim bin Abd. Samad, Deputy President of the Senate at the Senate today.


 

Hon. Senator Datuk John Ambrose sworn in as Senator before the President of the Senate

Hon. Senator Datuk John Ambrose, 66 is appointed as a Senator of the Senate for the first term from 16 January 2018 until 16 January 2021.

He is very active in politics and social activity. Among the positions that he has held are:

• Penampang UMNO Division Head (2004-present)
• Penampang UMNO Division Deputy Head (2001-2002)
• Counselor, Penampang District Council (2002-2008)
• Advisor, Kadazandusun Cultural Association (2014-present)


 

Hon. Senator Datuk Teo Eng Tee @ Teo Kok Chee sworn in as Senator of the Senate
 

Hon. Senator Datuk Teo Eng Tee @ Teo Kok Chee, 71 is appointed as a Senator of the Senate for the first term from 16 January 2018 until 16 January 2021.

He is an active politician and among the posts he has held are:

• Vice President of Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (GERAKAN) (2013-present)
• Chairman of the GERAKAN’s Working Committee Johor (2001-present)
• Deputy Chairman of Barisan Nasional Johor (1996-present)
• Chairman of the GERAKAN Bandar Skudai Timor (2005-present)
