KUALA LUMPUR, 4 SEPTEMBER 2020 – The Parliament of Malaysia today has organised a Ceremony for Mandate by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Monthly Assembly for July-September Session, Loyal Service Award and 2020 Retirement at the Banquet Hall, Main Block, Parliament of Malaysia. The ceremony was officiated by H.E. Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun, Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Also present was Hon. Dato' Haji Mohd Rashid Hasnon, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives I, Datuk Kamis bin Samin, Chief Administrator of the Parliament of Malaysia, Tuan Nizam Mydin bin Bacha Mydin, Secretary of the House of Representatives and Tuan Muhd ​​Sujairi bin Abdullah, Secretary of the Senate and all staff of Malaysian Parliament.

12 staff who took mandatory retirement were celebrated today along with 18 recipients of the Loyal Service award, who have served for more than 30 years in the civil service. They received a certificate presented by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

In his message, the Speaker of the House of Representatives expressed his appreciation and gratitude for all the contributions and services rendered throughout their duration serving in the Parliament of Malaysia. He hopes the excellent culture can be inculcated in the service of the Malaysian Parliament staff in carrying out their daily duties.

"Parliament staff need to practice the characteristics of personal integrity at all times and at the same time emphasize and continue working as a team to create understanding and teamwork among the staff or with the outsiders," he said.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives in his speech also praised the level of professionalism in the Malaysian Parliament where the staff are so committed to perform their duties efficiently and effectively through continuous improvement of knowledge and skills.
