PARLIAMENT OF MALAYSIA, 16 November – The Honourable Senator Dato’ Shahanim binti Mohamad Yusoff and Honourable Senator Datuk Mohan a/l Thangarasu have sworn in as Members of the Senate for the duration of three years commencing today until 15 November 2020.
The swearing in ceremony was held before the President of the Senate, His Excellency Senator Tan Sri Dato’ Sri SA. Vigneswaran and witnessed by the Secretary of the Senate, En. Riduan bin Rahmat.

Hon. Senator Dato’ Shahanim binti Mohamad Yusoff is a Member of Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) and holds an academic qualification from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in Bachelor of Business Management (Honours) (BBA Hons) from 2004 to 2007.
She is also active in politics and social activities including:
Hon. Senator Datuk Mohan a/l Thangarasu currently holds the position of Managing Director of P.E.S Group of Companies and is very active in politics as well as social activities.
Among the positions he holds are MIC Party Vice President from 2015 to present, National MIC Youth Movement Headman from 2009 to 2013, Rita Child Care Center, Klang, Selangor in 2017 and Chairman of the Malaysian Indian Sports and Cultural Foundation (MISCF) in 2012.
The two Senators are newly appointed members selected by His Majesty The Yang di-Pertuan Agong XV.
