PARLIAMENT OF MALAYSIA, 24 August – The President of The Senate, H.E. Senator Dato’ Sri SA. Vigneswaran received a courtesy call from the Perak State Assembly Speaker, Hon. Madam Thangeswari Suppiah at his office here today at 11am.
The President of The Senate, Hon. Senator Dato’ Sri SA. Vigneswaran exchanged pleasantries with the Perak State Assembly Speaker, Hon. Madam Thangeswari Suppiah during the courtesy call.
Hon. Madam Thangeswari Suppiah assumed the office of the Perak State Assembly Speaker since 9 August and it was her first courtesy call to the President of the Senate.
The Speaker of The Perak State Assembly, Hon. Madam Thangeswari Suppiah received a ‘Malai' flower garland, a gesture of appreciation from Datin Sri Susita Periasamy, the wife of the President of the Senate.
The President of The Senate, Hon. Senator Dato’ Sri SA. Vigneswaran received a souvenir and 'Ponnadai', a type of traditional Indian silk clothes from the Perak State Assembly Speaker, Hon. Madam Thangeswari Suppiah.
The courtesy call ended around 12 noon.
