Parliament of Malaysia - 12 Members of the Senate took their oath as Senators before H.E. Senator Tan Sri Dato’ Sri SA. Vigneswaran, President of the Senate and witnessed by the Deputy President of the Senate, Hon. Senator Datuk Seri Haji Abdul Halim bin Abd. Samad, on 27 August at the Senate, Parliament of Malaysia.

Eight of the newly appointed Senators are appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Their term of office will commence from 27 August 2018 until 26 August 2021.

Four of the newly appointed Senators are appointed by the Perak and Penang State Legislative Assembly. For the appointee from the Perak State Legislative Assembly, his term will commence from 13 August 2018 until 12 August 2021. While for the appointee from Penang State Legislative Assembly, his term will commence from 27 August 2018 until 26 August 2021.
