Wednesday, 10 September 2014 – Kelantan Malaysian People's Movement Party Chairman, Hon. Senator Datuk Ng Chiang Chin has taken the oath as a Member of the Senate this morning before H.E. Senator Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang, President of the Senate for a term of three years effective today. Also present were Hon. Senator Datuk Doris Sophia Brodi, Deputy President of the Senate and Datuk Lamien Sawiyo, Chief Administrator of Parliament of Malaysia and Encik Riduan Rahmat, Secretary of the Senate.

He has held various positions in the party including as Central Working Committee Member from 1993 to 1999, Party Treasurer from 1999 to 2013 and as Kelantan State Chairman from 2002 to the present.

In addition, he has also served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Tobacco Board and Director of Telekom Malaysia from 1996 to 2000. Hon. Senator Datuk Ng Chiang Chin is determined to raise issues relating to national unity and universal harmony during the next sitting.
