PARLIAMENT OF MALAYSIA, Feb 18 - The first meeting of the Malaysian Youth Parliament (PBM) 2016 was attended by 124 Members of the Malaysian Youth Parliament. The meeting was chaired by Hon. Datuk Haji Ismail Mohamed Said, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Among the topic debated in the Malaysian Youth Parliament was the capability of youths to own affordable homes. The sitting was held for two days at the House of Representatives, here beginning on Wednesday.

The other three motions were debated were the move to tackle drug abuse among the youths, the service standards at nurseries/kindergartens and ways of raising the undergraduates’ ability to sustain the cost of living.

According to the statement from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the resolution of the two-day sitting will be submitted to the Cabinet for consideration.
